Why these are studied together

BPC-157 and TB-500 are often discussed together because research has examined them through distinct, potentially complementary mechanisms in tissue repair. BPC-157 has been studied for its relationship with VEGF-associated angiogenic signaling, which supports the microvasculature involved in repair, and for gut barrier integrity. TB-500, a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4, has been studied for binding actin monomers and influencing the cell migration that recruits repair-associated cells. Most evidence for both compounds comes from animal and preclinical work, including rat tendon-healing models. Human safety data are limited, and no large controlled trials have evaluated either compound alone or in combination.
