Why these are studied together

DSIP and Epithalon are grouped because each has been studied along a different axis of rest and recovery. DSIP, a nonapeptide first identified for its association with delta-wave activity, has been examined for its relationship with slow-wave sleep architecture and with corticotropin-releasing stress-axis signaling, including a small 1981 trial on disturbed human sleep. Epithalon, a synthetic tetrapeptide, has been explored in research on pineal signaling and circadian regulation, alongside telomerase activity in cell models. Together they allow investigation of sleep depth alongside daily rhythm and cellular-aging pathways. Evidence remains early: Epithalon data are largely preclinical, and human safety data for both compounds are limited.
